Hey friend, welcome back to another post! Today, we’re talking about one of my FAVORITE things – cowboy boots. I love wearing cowboy boots and probably have too many pairs – but hey, I can admit it…

I love cowboy boots because you can dress them up, dress them down or do some serious work in them. I’m going to tell y’all about my favorite boots and my dream boots.

I do want to point out that I am not sponsored by any of these brands. I have bought these boots myself and have worn them. I won’t ever suggest a pair of boots to y’all if I didn’t love them myself! I’ll link what I can in case you want to look at them yourself, but I bought some of these boots years ago… Especially my town boots that don’t get dirty, if you take care of the leather they’ll last for years!

As for the dream boots, they’re the pairs I’m saving for so I haven’t worn them yet obviously LOL… You’ll find that list at the end of the post!

Boots in My Closet

Before buying a pair of cowboy boots you need to go to the store and try on a few different pairs of boots. There are different heel and toe shapes that affect boot sizing. I’ve always heard that you want to go down half a size when buying cowboy boots and that rings pretty true for myself personally. I wear a 6.5 running shoe, but typically wear a 6 in cowboy boots!

I currently have the following boots in my closet:

• Teal JRC & Sons Nancy Tall Boots (6)
• Brown Tony LLama Boots (6)
• Brown Macie Bean Caiman Boots (6)
• 2 x Ariat Dixon Booties (6, but wish I had bought a 6.5. Still love them though!) Ariat Dixon – Leopard Print

I LOVE all of the boots above! Working in a Western history museum means that I get to wear my cowboy boots to work every single day and I truly love it! I probably wear the black Shyanne ostrich boots and Brown Macie Bean caiman boots the most to work. They’re my town boots! I wear the brown Tony Llama boots to work outside in.

Now, let’s talk about how I style them!

My Favorite Ways to Style Cowboy Boots

I love wearing my cowboy boots a few different ways. I mainly wear them with jeans or dresses due to the nature of my job and/or working outside at home.

Dresses

I like wearing my tall cowboy boots with my dresses because they don’t tuck into my boot cut jeans very well. I feel like the turquoise boots need a moment for themselves anyways!

I find myself reaching for the turquoise boots when I need to dress up for work events! Everyone always compliments the color asks where I got them. (p.s. it’s Cavender’s, you’re welcome!)

I wear my black boots with dresses often as well. These boots match everything! I’ll also wear my leopard booties with black dresses for a fun look.

Jeans

You can wear your cowboy boots inside or outside of your jeans. I typically wear my jeans over my boots unless I want to show off the tops. You wear them however you like though!

Dream Boots that I’m Saving For!

Any person who loves cowboy boots most likely has a list of dream boots they want to buy. Personally, I scroll through social media and think I NEED to buy all the boots… but I can’t. So, here’s a short list of my current dream boots that I’m saving for!

• Justin “Clara” Black Suede
• Cream JRC & Sons Nancy Tall Boot
• Metallic pair of cowboy boots – haven’t decided what color or brand yet

Concluding Thoughts

I hope you found this post helpful for styling YOUR cowboy boots! I never realized how many times I cut my feet off in pictures until I went looking for photos for this post… I will be more mindful in the future and make an updated post at some point!
