Hey friend! Welcome back to another post. Today, we’re talking about how to style dresses with a Western flair for any occasion.
Honestly, I don’t wear a lot of dresses in my day-to-day life due to the nature of my job. I’m a social media manager and find myself crawling around in the dirt or on top things to get the right angle for a photo more often than you’d think… So personally, I wear dresses to events when I need to dress up and might occasionally wear a casual dress to a concert or date night.
*I am NOT sponsored by any of the stores or brands I talk about in this post. These are things that I have bought and love!
Let’s go talk about how I style the dresses now!
Casual
I think everyone should have a little black dress in their closet because they’re so versatile to dress up or dress down. I got this dress from Cavender’s a few years ago and love the puff sleeves! The basic color and cut allows you to pair lots of different accessories for several looks.
I like to pair statement jewelry (i.e. turquoise or spiny oyster) with this particular dress. You can also wear short, regular or tall cowboy boots!

I also like to turn extra large and long vintage button down shirts into dresses! This bright pink Wrangler shirt is such a fun color that is guaranteed to stand out in a room! I like to pair it with turquoise because the colors pop against each other.

Business Casual
I work a lot of events where I need to dress a little more fancy than boots/jeans. So, I throw on a dress that will look good with boots!
I find a majority of these dresses on clearance racks at various boutiques or online. Cavender’s, Boot Barn, TJ Maxx and Lush Fashion Lounge in OKC are a few of my favorites!
When looking for event dresses, I like to find something with color. I love bright colors and/or something you wouldn’t expect to see. I typically like to pair turquoise or wild rags with the dress.

Concluding Thoughts
I hope you found this post about styling Western dresses to be helpful. I like to wear dresses when I get the chance and always love when they have pockets! If you have any questions about dresses or styling them feel free to send me a message or DM on Instagram.
I’ll talk to ya soon! 🙂
