9 Lessons from 2023

Hey, friend! We made it to the end of 2023 – like how are we already here?! I feel like this year went by so fast.. 2023 was a good year for me and I learned a lot about myself. I hope after reading some of my reflections that you’ll take time to write some reflections of your own. Here are my top reflections from 2023 in no particular order.

1. Do the things that take you out of your comfort zone. You’ll look back and say, “wow – I really did that.”

2. Prioritize your physical and mental health.

3. Always ask the question – the worst thing someone can say is “no.”

4. Tell people they’re important to you because you never know when the last time you’ll see them will be.

5. It’s okay to let someone else take care of you. You don’t always have to do everything yourself.

6. Smile and genuinely laugh more. When you find people who make you feel happy, hold on tight and pray you make them just as happy.

7. Sometimes you have to say goodbye to people who are toxic in your life. This may be hard, but understand your mental health is important.

8. Be open to learning about anything and everything. Read books or articles. Watch documentaries. Ask questions.

9. Dream big.

Concluding Thoughts

2023 you were good to me and helped me grow in ways I didn’t know were possible. Thank you for this chapter and the lessons learned. I’m excited to see what 2024 brings with a fresh start to a new year.
