Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Headquarters: Omaha, NE

Hey friend! Welcome back to another blog! We’re doing things a little differently today, I am going to tell you about my trip to Omaha, Nebraska from the Fall of 2013. I was a senior in high school back then! The FCCLA (Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America) Regional Conference was held in Omaha that year. My teacher took four of our club officers up to the meeting and it was so much fun! Keep reading to see some of the cool museums, statues, and sights we saw!

*All photos were taken in Omaha, Nebraska.

Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge

The Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge is a 3,000 foot bridge that crosses the Missouri River. While in Omaha, I got to fulfill my Bucket List dream of being in two places at once! Thank you “A Walk to Remember” for inspiring that one! Have you ever been in two places at once?

Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Headquarters

We stopped at the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Headquarters. This was a cool museum experience. They had trails, maps, and costumes that you could try on. They even had a station where you could try writing with a quill pen and ink! Unfortunately, I didn’t take too many photos while at this museum 😦

Other Things to Do in Omaha

The venue our conference was held in was attached to the same arena where the Olympic Swimming Trials are held! I was a swimmer in high school and found my favorite swimmer’s names on the plaque.

We visited another cool place. I don’t know if this was a museum or just a cool shop. I didn’t take a picture of the sign and only have a few photos from the inside… If you’re from Omaha and reading this blog – please send me a message of what this place was called!

Concluding Thoughts

This was a fun trip back in 2013! I would love to go back to Omaha and visit again someday. I promise to take better photos if I ever get to go back 🙂

Happy Traveling! I’ll talk to ya soon 🙂
