Hey, Friend! Welcome back to another post. Today, I want to show you some of my favorite roadside stops on Route 66 in Oklahoma.
This is by no means a comprehensive list of all of the fun things there are to do along Route 66 in Oklahoma. I am linking several posts from my Instagram account that have information and photos from each stop. Let’s go look at some fun things!
P.S. I always recommend checking out the free Oklahoma Route 66 Passport for more fun stops. You can order them for free online or pick them up at various museums or visitor’s centers in Oklahoma. I have an Instagram highlight with photos of the books in front of various stops. You can view that highlight here!
Oklahoma City
In Oklahoma City there are so many fun things to do along Route 66 and a few blocks off of the Route. I have included photos from the Oklahoma State Capitol, Oklahoma History Center, and Tower Theatre.
Edmond
Edmond is another fun town along Route 66. I have included photos from the 1889 Territorial Schoolhouse, Historic Rodkey House, and Happy the Blue Hippo.
Edmond actually has their own Route 66 Passport which can be found on the Visit Edmond website or you can pick one up in person in town.
Arcadia
Arcadia, Oklahoma has some of most unique Route 66 roadside attractions in my opinion. You can see several historic markers, a round barn, and a giant 66 foot tall neon soda bottle. There is also a portion of the original Route 66 roadbed you can drive along which was really neat!
Luther
Luther, Oklahoma is another tiny town along Route 66. This tall orange sign was so fun and the historic Threatt Filling Station is cool to see.
Wellston
Warwick
There is a Motorcycle Museum in Warwick, Oklahoma that has cool gas pumps outside of the museum.
Chandler
Chandler, Oklahoma has a couple of historic buildings that are fun to see.
